5 For Friday

Teaming up with Doodle Bugs Teaching this week!
I can't believe the school is year almost over!! It is always such a bitter sweet time for me. I truly, truly love these kids, and I hate to see them go.

I first, and foremost, want to talk a bit about my book study.  I have really neglected it these past few weeks because I have been so focused on my kiddos. I want to make their last few days the best possible! I am also working on a little end of the year video that is taking up a lot of my time.  Fear not, however, because I will be posting more on the book study soon. Stay tuned!

One of my favorite activities that my students have participated in the past couple of weeks has been the, "My Future Is So Bright, I Have To Wear Shades" activity.  They create two goals that they see in their futures then draw and write about them.  The drawings and writings always earn a spot outside. They are so creative! You can download this activity along with 15 sunglasses templates by clicking the link below! You will really enjoy this.

Speaking of end of the year activities.  I love hearing what the students have to say about their memories from the year.  I also like to have them create a memory book for the end of the year where they trace their hand, write down characteristics about themselves, get autographs, etc... Hopefully they will enjoy looking back on this one day! I have created a huge bundle with 10 end of the year activities that I use.  If you are interested in downloading this bundle, you can do so by clicking the link below!

Did you guys get a chance to read about our classroom reading luau?  It is probably one of the best motivators for reading, and it is just plain fun! I dedicated an entire post to this day.  You can read about it by clicking here.

Another reason that I haven't been very active with the book study is because.... well.. I have a confession. I am addicted to the TV show, "Once Upon A Time"!!!!!! Netflix, my couch, and snacks have been calling my name every single day after work!! It's bad... haha..

Well, I hope you all enjoy the time you have left with your kiddos!

Happy Teaching!!
