Chances are, you are seeing teachers post their beautiful classroom photos using printable classroom decor. If you have ever wondered how exactly that works, you are in the right place! In this blog post, I will be sharing the 3 easy steps to get started using printable classroom decor.

Why use printable classroom decor? Click here for 5 Reasons Why You Should Be Using Printable Decor to Decorate Your Classroom!

Step 1: Grab Your [Free] Software

In order to use printable classroom decor, you will need a program to edit the files. First, you will need software installed on your computer to download and edit the files. For all my resources, I use Microsoft Powerpoint. If your school uses Microsoft 365 for email, you actually get 5 copies of Microsoft Office to use for free! First, go to your account, then subscriptions, then click “download office.”

🤩 You can also get a free trial of Microsoft Powerpoint by clicking here.

Step 2: Get the Best Supplies [pro tip: these will save you time & money!]

Next, you will want to find a printer & instant ink (⬅️ more on this later) to print your resources. Trust me, the initial investment is SO worth it! No more spending $50 at a time at teacher stores getting a hand full of pre-printed materials. (That adds up quickly!)

With your own printer, you unlock an UNLIMITED amount of printable decor for a fraction of the cost of what you will end up spending at the big chain stores!

➡️ This printer is similar to the one I have.

I highly recommend HP Printers, but if you get one, be sure to get one compatible with HP Instant Ink. This service allows you to pay a monthly fee and you can print up to 1,500 pages a month 😱 (+ rollover pages!)

Use my referral link and we will both get a free month when you sign up!

⭐️ Or if you already have free months included in your purchase YOU CAN GET 1 ADDITIONAL MONTH with this code: dDfFM

Finally, Step 3: Find Your Printable Classroom Decor!

Next, you will need to find the printable classroom decor that tickles your fancy. 🙃 The good news — the options are pretty endless. The bad news — there are a lot of people selling classroom decor these days, and you will really need to read the descriptions to know what you are getting.

🚨 🚨 Here are some things to look for:

  • It can be printed on regular, 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper.
  • You can edit some of the text to customize it for your classroom & students.
  • The seller has a good reputation and reviews.
  • There is a Facebook group (or something similar) you can go to for questions, inspiration, and help if you need it!
