Spring is FINALLY in the air and I am excited! It’s the best time of year to bust out your favorite flower for bulletin board crafts and all the spring bulletin board ideas. Find a way to encourage classroom community using a personalized spring craft like the one in this post! Read all about it below.

Read A Fun, Spring Book to Your Class
What’s your favorite spring story to read aloud to the class? I have so many fun texts I like to introduce, but I highly recommend reading “Are You a Ladybug?” by Deborah Short! It’s a fun way to introduce things that happen in spring, particularly the life cycle of a ladybug. Show this video to the class or purchase the book from Amazon by following this link.
Spring Ladybug Craft
After students learn about ladybugs and their life cycle, it’s only fitting to create an adorable ladybug craft! This printable craft comes with 4 different templates: black & white or color as well as a template that incorporates your students’ face or one that doesn’t.
The craft is easy to prep and simple to color and cut out. If you choose to add your child’s face, take their photo and print onto regular paper or glossy paper. It doesn’t have to be too big to fit on the ladybug body.
Spring Bulletin Board Idea
Your students will absolutely love seeing their own smiling faces up on the spring bulletin board! This may be one of the only places they see their smiles displayed, so seeing it up on the wall will make them so proud. Adding their faces nurtures their sense of belonging because they are fully involved in the craft from start to finish! This is one of my favorite ways to incorporate classroom community with the kids.
The kit includes flowers for bulletin board displays that can be arranged in any way you want. The colorful flowers on the bulletin board will add a nice pop of color.
The spring bulletin board border also comes with the kit and is easy to cut out and add around the edges. I like to add it for dimension on my displays.
Some Other Spring Classroom Must-Haves
Spring is the perfect time to decorate ALL aspects of your classroom, from the bulletin boards to the digital tools you use. These Morning Message Slides are a great way to welcome kids into the room and give them a positive note to start their day. Write anything you want on the slides, whether it’s important notes or a funny joke.
The Google Slides also come with a timer option so you can track work time, centers or small groups. Add a list of materials and to-dos for the day and students know exactly what to expect. I love this slide because it helps students stay prepared for the day and gives them a time as a heads-up.
Of all the newsletters I have in my seasonal bundles, this set is my favorite because of the beautiful flowers! Something about the pastel colors invites spring in and gets the readers’ attention. The readers, of course, are parents and students! These fun spring newsletters are the perfect addition to your spring bulletin board and to send home to families. Add information about lessons, upcoming events, important reminders, and your contact information.
